Merry music and song from The North Wall Noise Band + Horns of Plenty

Tim Hill

'Bish Bash Boom'

by The North Wall Noise Band + Horns of Plenty

At The Story Museum, we have The North Wall Noise band. This makeshift street band arose from a weekend of workshops in early November, led by Tim Hill, (Tongues of Fire), practising the very English tradition of 'rough music', carnival and outdoor celebration.

Join our merry throng as children and their adults make a seasonal, celebratory noise in and around the Story Museum Courtyard to ring in the start of the Christmas Light Festival 2014.

Would you like to be part of the fun? Come along at 5pm to rehearse, and play in the band at 6pm & 7pm. E-mail Sherrell if you’d like to join in, for free.

Fri 21 Nov, 6pm + 7pm
The Story Museum, Pembroke Street, Oxford

Play House

by Alex Allmont

Play House is an automata that mechanically performs ever changing hooky, hypnotic acid house.

Like a generative musical loom, its sequence of LEGO gears, levers and latches mutate riffs and rhythm patterns. These are played out on analogue drums and synthesisers from the halcyon days of 1980′s dance music, whilst the machine gradually shifts the timbre and space of the sound.
