We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "Happy Summer to you all! We have a hot one here in the Northeast and I am sure most of you all do too. Many of you are vacationing or planning one. Some of you have already been and are back. So much more activity to do when the weather is so beautiful. I am planning on kayaking soon with my husband. Seems like every time we plan something – something else comes up. And so, it goes. Take time to enjoy and take advantage of the sunshine. It always makes me feel better. That good ol' vitamin D." "My Word for the week is “BOLD.” A couple of things influenced my choice of word this week. One was that my sister in Christ decided to dye her hair pink. I told her, “You are braver than me!” LOL. My second reason was I shared something on FB that, immediately after putting on, I told my husband – I will get hammered for that. And it was less than 5 minutes later – I was. But I did it anyway – I was “bold,” so to speak. We need to be “bold” when it comes to shining our light and sharing His love. We need not be shy – there are so many that need us to be “bold” and reach out to them. I pray we all can get out of our shell and shine so bright in the Holy Spirit's love that being “bold” will be second nature to us. I said this week – we are Jesus’ hands and feet – He needs us to reach out to a world that is longing for Him. They just need us to be “bold” and reach them. Pray “bold” and ask the Holy Spirit to change us from the inside out. We need to reflect His love and light to everyone we meet. Be ready, be “bold” and see the results manifest around you. There are many depending on our “bold” actions. Let us not let them down. I pray you all have a fantastic week!" The Lord has put his Spirit in me, because he appointed me to tell the Good News to the poor. He has sent me to tell the captives they are free and to tell the blind that they can see again. God sent me to free those who have been treated unfairly ~ Luke 4:18 (NCV) | Join the Hospitality Team Now that you've had a bit of a chance to observe what Hospitality Team volunteers do, would you like to sign up? Our crew spent time working with Mike to rehang a bathroom mirror, move a shed into the garden, and do a bit of tractor repair work. One of the things GG is responsible for doing is giving our clients work experience and opportunities to learn a variety of skills. We accomplished that with flying colors this week! If there was one word to describe the week, that word would have to be "weeding!" There has been weeding every day. Each year we are amazed at how fast weeds can grow. If you would like to join in the challenge of keeping the weeds at bay, we would love to have your help! Stop out anytime between 9am-2pm Monday through Friday and Rachel can show you where you can spend time volunteering and enjoying the great outdoors while helping our garden beds and fields. It's not all work and no play here at GG. We took time one afternoon to hike through the woods, all the way back to the creek. Everyone had fun wading in the water, exploring, and catching small critters.
