Fresh Connect

One hundred and fifty-four Bucks County households picked up potatoes, honeydew, carrots, onions, greens and more at the first Fresh Connect Bucks County event! Fresh Connect is a free farmer’s market that brings fresh, healthy food to our hungry neighbors in Bucks County. It returns to the same location on the same day at the same time each week. On Friday April 21, 16 volunteers and numerous staff helped feed more than 200 adults and 108 children. We'll be doing it
every week, and you can get involved! Volunteers help set up and distribute weekly offering of fruits and vegetables on the campus of Bucks County Community College in Bristol, and in Ottsville beginning in May.

This collaborative is a partnership between Bucks County Opportunity Council, St. Mary Medical Center, Philabundance, Rolling Harvest Food Rescue, and funded by the United Way of Bucks County.

Changing Lives

When you give of your time and your money, you want to know that you are really having an impact on someone's life. At the Bucks County Opportunity Council, our services provide a way for people to leave poverty and be able to become self-sufficient. As a Community Action Agency, we change lives! May is Community Action Month, and we invite you to our event, Changing Lives, on May 6th. Join us at the event for a spectacular meal from renowned Bucks County Chef Joseph Garvey, and exciting silent and live auction items!
