Springhill has always valued feedback from everyone who comes into contact with our services.

Whether residents, their families and friends or our staff members, we like to hear what you have to say about the way we work, and importantly, act upon your comments or concerns.

Many people already provide us with valuable comments through letters, e-mails and cards which we are proud to receive, and we have also been encouraging people to add comments to the www.carehome.co.uk website – a ‘Trip Advisor’ for the care home sector or through NHS Choices .

Welcome Home William

Over the past couple of months, Affinity has been working with a gentleman who is moving into his own supported tenancy with us.

William enjoys many activities but is a huge fan of Blackburn Rovers Football Club. He also spends days away and short breaks with his family on coach holidays.

We’d like to offer William a warm welcome and I’m sure he’ll quickly become part of the Affinity family.

Paul 2

Gardens R Us for Affinity's Paul

Paul, one of the adults Affinity supports, is a keen gardener and is proud of his latest results (pictured).

Paul was supported by Carol Whittam to buy new flowers, and to plant them and tidy up his hanging baskets.

Paul was delighted with the results and couldn’t wait for everyone in the house to see them.

Jack

Party to Mark Jack's Big Day

Affinity staff were there to help one of the young men we support, Jack, celebrate his 21st birthday.

Organised by Jack’s parents, Ged and Clare, the event was a great occasion with everyone up and dancing.

Betty, 95, was unable to attend granddaughter Janet’s wedding day due to ill health. Janet married husband Lee at Ormskirk registry office, with a reception at nearby Briars Hall Hotel where guests enjoyed a meal of fish and chips.

Thanks to our Bessie

A big thank-you to Veronica Martin, whose mum Bessie was with us only a short time, who has donated a number of pieces of wooden garden furniture to Birch Green in her memory.

Bessie was with us for six months as a resident, and appreciated all the care and support she received from the staff while she was here.
