Invitation to join other Project Tomorrow Research Projects

In addition to Speak Up, Project Tomorrow designs and implements other research projects throughout the year on emerging technologies, new learning models and innovative solutions and services that support K-12 education. Here is a list of some additional research projects. You are invited to participate! In recognition of your participation in our studies, we will be selecting teachers and administrators to receive a $50 gift card from Project Tomorrow. Read details below.

Voice-Enabled Assistant in K12 Schools/Classrooms

The first study is investigating educators’ ideas about potential ways to use a voice-enabled assistant (such as Amazon Alexa, Apple Siri or Google Assistant) in the classroom to support teaching and learning tasks. Many teachers across the country are already experimenting with this type of emerging technology in their classroom. You can contribute to this research by completing a 15 minute survey. Please know that all of your information is 100% protected and confidential. We are not sharing your information with anyone or any other organization.

Research Survey on K-12 District Investment Strategies for Digital Learning Devices

The focus of the second study to understand how K-12 school districts are paying for digital learning devices (tablets, laptops, Chromebooks) for their students, teachers and staff. With the sudden shift to remote learning caused by COVID-19, school district funding of 1:1 devices for their students jumped 77%. That tremendous increase has resulted in a significant new focus on district investment strategies for both the long and short term. And new discussions, both locally and nationally, about how to sustain those investments so that all K-12 stakeholders have the best technology in their hands to support teaching and learning.
