We want to know more about our NTM athletes and thought you guys would like to know more about each other too! What better way to kick off this section of the newsletter than to feature our NTM President - Lee Iliria

Q: What was your very first Triathlon?
A: My very first Tri was the James Island Triathlon in South Carolina, in 1998. I was 24, a horrible swimmer, a below average biker and an elite runner. Back then I thought a long ride was over 20 miles.

Q: What got you interested in participating in the sport?
A: I have competed in running since a very young age and was totally burned out. I always wanted to find another endurance event that would fill the need to compete again and triathlon fit perfectly. It has been fun over the years trying to master all the disciplines to succeed in this great sport.

Q: What are your plans and goals for the season?
A: My plan for this season is to have a Positive experience at Ironman. This will be my second go around at the Full Distance and although I finished my first it was a brutal experience. Looking forward to Louisville IM 2015 with all of my NTM Teammates!
