We are pleased to present the Shaping Portsmouth Annual Report for 2016.

The purpose of this document is to summarise the
activities of the Programmes Shaping Portsmouth has run over the past twelve months, and for you to get an insight into the breadth of work carried out.

Of course one of the major changes we saw in 2016 was the retirement of Cheryl Buggy and my appointment as Director of the overall programme from my position as Chair of the Business & Enterprise programme.

For me it's been six months of the most interesting period of my working life. Having
come from a commercial background I have been challenged by the workings of public sector life and I am looking forward to using the past months experience to deliver a higher level of leadership to the City, to you, and to our volunteers without whom we would not have the success we have had.

I also am looking forward to continuing to work with you on the key issues the City faces and proving the value of our programme.
