A Note From Mr. Sandefur

Lion Family,

I pray that you had a rejuvenating and wonderful Thanksgiving break, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. As we dive back into our academic endeavors, it's heartening to reflect on the tremendous work our students and faculty have accomplished in this first half of the school year. The halls of The King's Academy have been buzzing with the energy of learning and growth, showcasing the resilience and dedication that defines our school community.

With the holiday season upon us, and Christmas break on the horizon, it's easy to get swept up in the hustle and bustle. Amidst the busyness, let's remember the essence of this season — a time of joy, reflection, and, most importantly, love. In the midst of exams and end-of-year activities, let's not lose sight of what is truly important — our faith, our family, and the bonds that make TKA a special place.

As we navigate the final stretch of the semester, I encourage each of you to remain steadfast in your faith. It's during these busy times that our commitment to Christ shines most brightly. Extend grace to others, share the love of Christ through your actions, and let the steadfastness of your faith be a beacon for those around you. May this season be a reminder of the profound impact we can have when we ground ourselves in the enduring truths of our faith.

Wishing you a blessed and steadfast journey through the remaining weeks of the semester.

In Christ,

Jeremy Sandefur
President/Head of School

The 30th Annual Seymour Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m.

Save the Date!

The 30th Annual Seymour Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m.

The King’s Academy will have several vehicles for this year’s parade themed "Christmas Thru The Decades." We would love to have a vehicle from as many of the decades as possible and for those riding on those vehicles to wear coordinating decade Christmas apparel (example: if you are in a 1980s vehicle, dress like Christmas in the 80s).

This is such a fun annual town tradition. We’d like as many people as possible to show up and show out for TKA!! This is an amazing opportunity for teachers, students, teams, and families to represent TKA in the community and celebrate Christmas together! To make the parade a success, we need some help!

Ways you can help:

▪ Donate candy to be thrown out at the parade (candy can be given to Ms. Gioioso or Ms. Reed)
▪ Walk with us on parade day. There will be a lead float with spots for riding. Spots are limited and preference will be given to small children and those unable to walk the distance of the parade route. The parade path is mildly strenuous due to the hills on Chapman Highway. PLEASE REGISTER TO RIDE with the link below if you need a spot to ride.
▪ We would love to have a car or vehicle from as many of the decades as possible! If you have a cool vehicle that can be used in the parade? Old car? Horse-drawn carriage? Click the link below and fill out the form. Someone will contact you soon!
