Message: Viewing the Old Testament Christologically. John currently serves as the President/CEO of the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley.
He came to the Mission as a volunteer in 2011, teaching and tutoring clients in the Mission’s Learning Center. During this time as a volunteer, he grew to love the ministry and accepted
a staff position as Learning Center Instructor. From there his roles with the Mission
progressively increased as he became the Director of Education in 2013, the Director
of Client Services in 2014 and then the Deputy Director in 2015. The Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley's Purpose Statement:

Gospel of Jesus Christ as we promote accountability and provide food and emergency

This has been a very busy week here as our crew made a big push to finish up all the planting. Miss Rachel says that the new plastic laying machine made this year's planting much easier. Soon we will have all sorts of veggies popping up as well as fruits, flowers, and herbs. Such an exciting time! If you have a chance, take a walk and see all that's growing and changing around the property as the growing season kicks off. Next month we will be getting to spend time with several mission groups, thanks to our friends at Canfield Presbyterian Church. We are looking forward to working with these groups of young people. Kids Activity - Saturday, 11am-3pm - During our plant sale kids will be able to explore the Wildlife Science Lab that ECO EdVentures will have next to the pond and natural playground. They will explore and investigate the amphibians, fish and the other aquatic creatures that make up a healthy habitat. Kids will also get a chance to make natural bird feeder made from native seeds and pinecones to feed wildlife back home and promote the growth of native plants that our local wildlife depend on for food.
