This Week's Top News Bites

Check Eligibility For New Stewardship Options

TFA Members should check their eligibility as the four new Countryside Stewardship offers launched recently won’t be available if your SBI has land which:
* Is in an Environmental Stewardship agreement that ends after 1 January 2019
* Is subject to an Inheritance Tax exemption agreement with HM Revenue and Customs
* Has a Site of Special Scientific Interest or Scheduled Monument

TFA 2017 Autumn Conference Report Published

Whether you attended or not, catch up on the highlights from our 2017 Autumn Conference, "Building Farm Business Resilience for the Tenanted Sector of Agriculture" held in November 2017 at the National Agricultural Centre, Stoneleigh. To read more click here.

Countryside Productivity Small Grants Scheme

The TFA understands the scheme has seen a good level of take up since its launch, however we have been asked to remind our members to ensure that they are entering the correct details within the application to establish eligibility. Some applicants have made mistakes with SBI and CRN numbers and there are incidences where the email address being used within the application does not match that registered on Rural Payments. Details of the scheme can be found here.

Wildlife Offers For Countryside Stewardship

The latest leaflets and timetable for applications for Natural England's Countryside Stewardship Wildlife Offers can now be found on the TFA website in our public Document area. To view click here.

Tribunal Cases Added To The TFA Website

The TFA has a dedicated section in the member's area of the TFA website reporting on recent tribunal cases on matters such as succession and notices to quit. We have added some case reports recently received on matters determined in 2017. TFA members can click here to access these documents. Members will need to log into their TFA account before they can access details.
