Mr. Messer's Message

CHCA spring sports are one of my favorite times during the school year. Baseball, softball, golf, tennis, soccer, and track season are in full swing. High school athletics are a huge part of the independent school experience and they teach many life lessons. I love watching the teamwork, competitive spirit and the desire to be the best that athletes show when part of a team. The ability to handle both success and failure also teaches valuable life lessons. As our students enter the workforce and become adults, life will not always go as planned and the ability to overcome is a great asset. I enjoy watching the look of satisfaction on students' faces and the celebration of a team when they see the fruits of their labor. I hope you have the opportunity to watch our Warriors in action this spring.

We are in the middle of several upgrades to our campus security. Access control management systems will be completed on both campuses early next week. Please be patient as we implement our new procedures and learn how to use the system effectively. We will also be holding a lock down drill next week before leaving for spring break. Lock down drills will be age appropriate and will concentrate on educating our students on how to react and what the procedures will be if an intruder came on campus. We are working hard to insure your student is as safe as possible when on our campus.

Thanks to everyone who supported our Book Fair this week. The ability to read is a gift that students will use the rest of their lives and may be the most crucial skill to their success in the future. This summer we will be updating the flooring in the library. You can support this library improvement project through the purchasing of KONA ICE at field day next week. We are excited about our Church Campus field day and look forward to seeing everyone there. Field day is supported by our student activity fee this year, the only optional cost will be the purchasing of food and drinks. Thanks again for all you do and for choosing CHCA.

God Bless and Go Warriors!

We would like to invite our parents to join our student body as we line the halls to cheer and show support their accomplishments on Friday, March 23, 2018 at 8:15 a.m.
