Summer at GG

We started this week off with beautiful weather and a visit to Whispering Pines. Tuesday brought another cooking project with Sue. This time it was diner style hamburgers, prepared by Sue, Dustin, and Ethan. (Yum!) While they manned the kitchen, Trevor and Shawn mowed, weed-whacked, and weeded while Rachel, Cameron, and Keegan took a trip to Dillon's Berry Farm for some blueberry picking. Today they will be harvesting and preparing CSA shares as well as baking homemade zucchini muffins (using our own zucchini we froze in the fall) for the subscribers. Our crew is always busy!

With the July 4th holiday this week, we will be having CSA pick up day today and we will be off for family celebrations on Thursday. Then it will be back to work as usual on Friday.
All of us at Goodness Grows wish you a very Happy Independence Day!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.

Matthew 25: 35-36, 40
