Wishing You a Safe & Happy July 4th! | Sunday's Service - July 5, 2020 | The featured scripture verse is: Ephesians 4:1-3 for Mike's message: One Another Part 3 - Bear with One Another. Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Join us this Sunday for Worship - 11:00am Online and In-Person | Worshiping Together Spend Sunday morning with us - at Common Ground or online. Use the Facebook link Connecting Life and let's grow together. We welcome you to join us online for as long as it takes you to get comfortable with gathering in a group again. The CGCC website has a Contact/Prayer Request page or you can email Jen Lynch directly or use commonground.secretary@gmail.com. ~~~ We would love to see and pray for the prayer needs of everyone from Common Ground and Connecting Life as well as anyone else in need of the power of prayer! ~~~ | Bible Studies Sunday Morning Bible Study We will meet at 9:30am, upstairs in the Activity Room. Check out some of the fun they had last week at their bonfire. Thanks to Frank Snyder for the photos! | Children's Ministry Collide Kids Wednesday's Weekly Video: "What is the body of Christ?" This lesson teaches that the church is not the building that we meet in, but rather the people of God that gather. Watch the video together to see that each person in the body of Christ has a unique role to play, including YOU! Yes! You have a special role within the church too! Have fun learning what that may be! Danielle also gives some great discussion starters in these lessons, like this question - Would you rather be a mouth or an eyeball? We'd love to hear your answers! Feel free to let us know by email or on Facebook. Big thanks to Danielle Taylor and Pastor Mike for all their work on this weekly online way to connect and grow! | Youth Group Youth ~ We need you to send us dates that you know you will be unavailable this summer. (Thanks to those who already have!) This will help us schedule a few events that work for the most people's schedules. Also, if you have any ideas of things you'd like to do, please let Jen L. know! Check out the event in the "Upcoming at CG" section that was suggested by one of you. We know that we are hoping to have some service days with GG, a swim evening at the Snyder's, a bonfire, and (maybe) our traditional lock-in. Whenever you have a prayer request, please don't hesitate to send it in! We are here to pray with and for you. We will be sharing prayers and praises in church, during our "Joys & Concerns" time. If you are worshiping with us online, please take a minute to send in your prayer needs by early Monday mornings for inclusion in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! Thank you! | “Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.” ~ 1 Chronicles 16:11 ~~~ | Encouragement Marcia Kreps shared the weekly encouragement from her North Canton friend, Darla. Her words this week fit in perfectly with Pastor Mike's summer series, "One Another." Thank you to Marcia and Darla! "I pray your week is off to a great start. The weather sure has been cooperating in a "hot way." Looking forward to what God has in store for each and every one of us. He certainly loves us. HE calls us His own." "The word that God has been laying on my heart is ONE. A single digit in the number family but, oh, how enormous in God's family. We are all different members, parts, sisters (and brothers), but we are ONE in HIM. He takes all our individuality and puts us together as a great warrior team for His kingdom. When one of us hurts - we should all hurt, when one of us rejoices - we should all rejoice, when one of us needs some encouragement - we should all be there to lend a kind word or gesture, when one of us needs extra understanding - we should all be there to lend advice. God took all our individual personalities and is helping us mesh together in Unity through The Holy Spirit. Let us strive to be ONE in HIM. Let us be united for ONE cause. We are all so important and needed in HIS KINGDOM. Let our Unity with each other SHINE!" ~ Darla Smith This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other. If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad. 1 Corinthians 12:25-26 | July Worship ~ In-Person and Online Pastor Mike Hileman ~ Sundays at 11:00am Join us at church or online via Facebook Live: Connecting Life We will continue to be guided by the health and safety guidelines set forth by the governor and the health department. | Chalk the Lot Friday, July 10, 6:30-8pm Event for all ages!
