The featured scripture verse is: Ephesians 4:1-3
for Mike's message: One Another Part 3 - Bear with One Another.

Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ
As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received

Worshiping Together

Spend Sunday morning with us - at Common Ground or online. Use the Facebook link Connecting Life and let's grow together.

We welcome you to join us online for as long as it takes you to get comfortable with gathering in a group again. Whether we are worshiping in person or online, we can continue to join together in Worship and Praise and Prayer.

You will be invited you to share your prayers and praises in person after the sermon ends. If you are worshiping online, or if you prefer communicating by email, please send your prayer requests in for our Joys & Concerns email that will go out on Monday morning! The CGCC website has a Contact/Prayer Request page or you can email Jen Lynch directly or use commonground.secretary@gmail.com.

Children's Ministry

Collide Kids Wednesday's Weekly Video:
"What is the body of Christ?"

This lesson teaches that the church is not the building that we meet in, but rather the people of God that gather. Watch the video together to see that each person in the body of Christ has a unique role to play, including YOU! Yes! You have a special role within the church too! Have fun learning what that may be!

Danielle also gives some great discussion starters in these lessons, like this question - Would you rather be a mouth or an eyeball? We'd love to hear your answers! Feel free to let us know by email or on Facebook. Big thanks to Danielle Taylor and Pastor Mike for all their work on this weekly online way to connect and grow!

Youth ~ We need you to send us dates that you know you will be unavailable this summer. (Thanks to those who already have!) Check out the event in the "Upcoming at CG" section that was suggested by one of you. We know that we are hoping to have some service days with GG, a swim evening at the Snyder's, a bonfire, and (maybe) our traditional lock-in.

Prayer

For whom are you praying today?
How can we pray for you?

Whenever you have a prayer request, please don't hesitate to send it in! We are here to pray with and for you.

We will be sharing prayers and praises in church, during our "Joys & Concerns" time. If you are worshiping with us online, please take a minute to send in your prayer needs by early Monday mornings for inclusion in the weekly Joys & Concerns email. We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! Thank you!

Encouragement

Marcia Kreps shared the weekly encouragement from her North Canton friend, Darla. Her words this week fit in perfectly with Pastor Mike's summer series, "One Another." Thank you to Marcia and Darla!

"I pray your week is off to a great start. The weather sure has been cooperating in a "hot way." Looking forward to what God has in store for each and every one of us. He certainly loves us. HE calls us His own."

"The word that God has been laying on my heart is ONE. A single digit in the number family but, oh, how enormous in God's family. We are all different members, parts, sisters (and brothers), but we are ONE in HIM. He takes all our individuality and puts us together as a great warrior team for His kingdom. When one of us hurts - we should all hurt, when one of us rejoices - we should all rejoice, when one of us needs some encouragement - we should all be there to lend a kind word or gesture, when one of us needs extra understanding - we should all be there to lend advice. God took all our individual personalities and is helping us mesh together in Unity through The Holy Spirit. Let us strive to be ONE in HIM. Let us be united for ONE cause. We are all so important and needed in HIS KINGDOM. Let our Unity with each other SHINE!"

~ Darla Smith

This makes for harmony among the members, so that all the members care for each other.
If one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it, and if one part is honored, all the parts are glad.
1 Corinthians 12:25-26

Chalk the Lot

Friday, July 10, 6:30-8pm
Event for all ages!
Youth Group member, Audrey Shannon, and her friend Alaina came up with a summer-fun activity that is packed full of social distancing potential. Way to be creative, ladies! So, we are inviting you to come Chalk Our Lot next Friday evening. We will have some sidewalk chalk available here or you can bring your own. (We will have hand sanitizer available.) With chalk in hand, families or individuals can disperse throughout our parking lot and fill the lot with chalk art! Draw pictures, write Scripture, chalk encouraging thoughts...the sky is the limit, as long as it is family friendly. We will have a designated parking area, along the bottom of the lot under the trees, leaving the rest of the parking lot a blank canvas for your art. Drop in anytime from 6:30-8:00 and let your creativity flow! (This is, of course dependent on the weather cooperating! We will reschedule in the event of storms.)

Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He has made everything beautiful in its time.

Saturday, July 11, 6:30pm
Only nine days until this special event! Bible reading and bonfire. Bring a camp chair and bug spray to join in a socially distanced men's fellowship! James Crawford is leading this ministry event and can answer any questions you may have.

NEWS & EVENTS

News of the Week

No rain this week has given us plenty of time for outside work...and there surely is always something to do in fields and gardens! We have weeded, watered, and harvested a-plenty! Today is CSA day, so we are washing and packing goodies for our weekly subscribers. As always, cleaning is also on our schedule, as we work to keep everyone safe and healthy.

Next week, July 11, will find us back at the Youngstown Flea. A Flea day also means a jam session. Now that it is blueberry season, we will be jumping into making some fresh Blueberry Jalapeno Jungle Jam.

Our fishing trip with Marilee and David and their friends was awesome! We thank everyone involved! Never knew that GG had so many good fishermen on our crew. We now know they are as good at fishing as they are at farming and jam making!

Caring for All Animals

Our GG family members care about taking care of the earth and all its creatures. GG client Ethan missed working on Monday because he found a bird in distress. This beautiful cardinal got caught in netting as he tried to reach some seed. Ethan freed him and remained at home to nurse him back to health. We were sad Ethan couldn't be with us, but we are so proud of him for his heart for the animals!

Jam For Sale

Check out Reach for the STARS online to get your Goodness Grows Jungle Jam and Juicy Jam. Here is the link to their website: Shop Local They even provide curbside pickup in Salem to encourage social distancing. We are also glad to arrange a jam pick up here at Goodness Grows.

~~~~~~~
For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.
.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
