Adult Programs

The Library hosts free Adult Programs throughout the year for the education and entertainment of our Adult Patrons. If you would like to volunteer to give a presentation or have an idea for one of our Adult Programs, please contact the Library. Check the Online Calendar for scheduled programs that begin with "Adult..."

▪ BINGO @ the Library – Nov 13 @ 2pm. Adults (18+) are welcome to attend. Small prizes are awarded.
▪ COMMUNITY SCAN DAY – Nov. 17, 2-4:30pm. Appointments are encouraged for this free, monthly event. Bring in your historical photos to share with the Library and Community.

▪ PEARL HARBOR: A DAY THAT WILL LIVE IN INFAMY - Dec. 9 @10am. Historian, Jim Gibbons, will present the story of Pearl Harbor. Gibbons will show you the beginnings of the storms of war that led to the predawn attack. He will explain how our government in Washington and the people of the United States were wooed to vulnerability and then struck hard by the Empire of Japan. Open to the public and no registration required.
▪ MUSIC WITH MIKE HARRIS – Dec. 10 @2pm. Enjoy background music by Mike Harris during your visit to the Library.

News

The past several weeks have been filled with end-of-October Halloween Craziness and lots of Explorers Science Club fun!

Now, we're heading into the Holidays with Kids Fall Canvas Painting, the Holiday Reading Program, and some drop-in Kids Crafts before Thanksgiving.

* Baby Laptime - Wednesdays at 9:15am (Birth - 18mos, Siblings welcome)
* Storytime - Thursdays at 10:15am (18mos - 5yrs, Siblings welcome)
No registration necessary.

Register for other events at the Library Main Desk or info@monticellolibrary.org. Include your child's name and age.

▪ HOLIDAY READING PROGRAM began November 1. Sign up at the Library through November 12th for this reading and rewards program (3 years to 5th Grade.) Reading logs are due between November 24th and December 1st by 6pm. Library Bucks are rewarded for minutes/books read and are the ONLY CURRENCY used at our Library Holiday Shop on Dec. 2.
