Greetings Friends and Family,

I hope that this newsletter finds you well and enjoying an off-season filled with summer fun and a healthy bit of bike riding.

The NJICL Staff has been hard at work planning for our third season. We had our semi-annual board meeting a few weeks ago, Season III race dates are set, the leader's summit planning is in full swing, and some really fun events are on the horizon! Check them out below.

The Gran Fondo fundraiser in particular is super important to us. The league is a beneficiary of this wonderful event. We are hoping to raise enough funds to "step up" our season ending awards and continue offering the best youth cycling program in the nation to our students!

If you are unable to ride the Fondo, please consider making a donation by clicking here.

Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming season, including our schedule of Dirt Tour stops and Try it Out rides. Want to host a tour stop or ride aimed at expanding a team to your school or area? Hit me up!

Best wishes,

Ken Seebeck
League Director

Ride the Gran Fondo NJ and support NJ NICA!

Raise funds for NJ NICA, and your Gran Fondo entrance fee will be only $50! We are asking that you shoot for $200 in funds raised, but most importantly would like to see you on the team and riding this wonderful event!

This is the main fundraiser for NJ NICA for this year, so come on out, ride, and support our goal of #morekidsonbikes!

Want to find out how it works? Just check out the NJICL Gran Fondo NJ Fundraiser 411 document.

Not into riding it, but want to donate to our fundraising campaign? Please click here.

It only takes a few minutes to set up and you’ll be on your way to a great day of riding and helping sustain the NJ NICA league for 2019. Questions?

Attention Coaches - We have some really great training in store for September!

The New Jersey Interscholastic Cycling League’s annual Leaders Summit will bring together coaches, assistant coaches, ride leaders, and parent volunteers—both new and experienced—to develop skills and knowledge, share strategies, and build community.

Being New Jersey's third season, the focus of the 2018 Leaders Summit will be twofold; for new coaches (Those who have not attended a summit or 101 Skills course) to the NICA family, we will concentrate on tools needed to establish your team and build community. For second year coaches (completed OTB 101 & a summit), we will build upon your first year and help you progress to higher levels of coaching and team success while providing ground breaking NICA instruction to progress your license levels.

Tickets are on sale now. New coaches: register before September for a 20% early bird discount!
