Pastor Max is leading a study of Paul’s letter to the Philippians in the Library. Gather at 9:45 and let’s see what Paul can teach us about living joyfully.

Join IPUMC Kids & families for a church-wide family picnic at Stone Mountain on July 16th. We will meet at IPUMC and caravan to Stone Mountain to picnic, play, and watch the light show. All church members are welcome, please RSVP by July 12th.

CONNECT: Join us at the Wild Goose Festival!

We're excited to announce that Kristen Vincent will be leading a workshop and having a booth at this year's Wild Goose Festival! If you've never heard of it, to put it briefly it’s a 4-day Spirit, Justice, Music and Arts Festival. But it’s so much more than that too!

Come hang out with us and hear amazing speakers including Nadia Bolz-Weber, William P. Young (author of The Shack), Diana Butler Bass, and many others, including a number of Upper Room authors. There's also music, Beer & Hymns, food trucks, camping, and all manner of zaniness. It always draws some of the best contemporary Christian speakers and musicians. Seriously, not to be missed!

Kristen will be offering a workshop on her new book, Beads of Healing. She'll also have a booth where she'll be selling prayer beads, holding crosses, Deeply Loved merchandise, and much more!

Sacred Harp Singing & Pot Luck

Spivey Hall Education is offering a great day of Sacred Harp Singing on Saturday, July 15 from 10AM – 4PM in the beautiful Spivey Hall.

Every year the Atlanta Sacred Harp Singers lead the day of singing hymns, psalms, and odes in this uniquely American form of singing dating back to the roots of this country. There is a potluck dinner mid-day that fosters a delightful time of fellowship. This is a FREE event!

Action Ministries is collecting Pre-K through 5th Grade reading level books for their Smart Kid Summer Enrichment program! You can bring your books to the church and we'll arrange for delivery to Action Ministries. Click here for more info or to donate financially.

Beads of Healing is Here!

If you would like a copy of Kristen Vincent's newest book, Beads of Healing, they are available for purchase in the church office. Proceeds from books sold here at the church will go to IPUMC. The books are $14 each (the church would make $5.60 on each copy sold).

Join us for the first My Quiet Spaces cruise event departing on January 25, 2018 – a retreat designed for Christian women. Engage your mind, body, and spirit through music, creative writing, meditation, movement, and prayer. Gather with other women who are seeking a time of renewal and connection with God. Relax in the warmth of the Caribbean while enjoying the comforts and activities of the ship, beaches and ports with Christian friends new and old. Kristen Vincent is our group host. Ecumenical Prayer Cycle

As a way to remember our connection with Christians around the globe, we will start using a great prayer tool: the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle. Each week of the year a number of countries are highlighted to lift up in prayer. There are also prayers written by Christians in those countries that you can use. By following the cycle throughout the year, you would pray your way around the globe. We will start listing the different countries each week in our prayer list.

For the week of June 25 pray for: Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda
