A Note From Mr. Sandefur

Lion Family,

Greetings from Chattanooga! I am currently at the Tennessee Baptist Convention alongside my incredible colleagues Tyler Rhoton, April Kandel, and Kelly Clifton. It's a true blessing to partner with the Tennessee Baptists in our shared mission of providing a Christ-centered education. The convention serves as a powerful reminder of the strength we derive from collaboration and shared values.

As we approach Thanksgiving next week, I'm reminded of Paul's perspective on gratitude. In Philippians 4:6-7, we are encouraged, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." It's a beautiful reminder that in expressing gratitude, we not only acknowledge our blessings but also experience the peace that comes from trusting in God's providence.

As we gather with family and friends, let's take a moment to reflect on the abundance of God's grace and express our thanks for the community we share at The King's Academy. May this Thanksgiving be a time of joy, reflection, and deep gratitude for the many blessings we enjoy as part of the TKA family.

In Christ,

Jeremy Sandefur
President/Head of School

STEAM Week Update

We have enjoyed another great STEAM Week on campus in the elementary. Our students worked hard to challenge their brains to be innovative creators to show their creative design God-given abilities this week and had fun doing it! It is amazing to see these attributes of our God, the Creator, shine through our students.

Elementary families, we want to thank you for your partnership this week in our At-Home STEAM Bingo Challenge as we GREATLY exceeded our school-wide goal with 612 bingos!! WOW!!!
We hope you enjoyed these special moments this week with your child highlighting these God-given attributes of innovation and design. It is the partnership between school and family that makes a difference in the educational journeys of these children. We are truly grateful for the support and partnerships of our TKA families.

We want to share our gratitude to Denso and Accenture for sharing in our STEAM week to bring science and technology alive to our students and sharing how these skills are applied in the future in jobs.

We also would like to give a big thank you to our TKA PTF for helping us celebrate our students and their success this week with a STEAM Fun Day!

What an amazing week of learning on campus for our elementary lions!
- Mrs. Sullivan

Many of you have probably seen information in your FACTS Payment Plan Account regarding multi-factor authentication (MFA). You will need to now use MFA to access the FACTS payment plans and billing as well as the upcoming FACTS Grant and Aid Assessment for the coming school year. FACTS is recommending using some type of free authentication app such as Authy, Microsoft Authenticator, or Google Authenticator to access the accounts from here on out. Users can also choose to receive an authentication email containing a unique code.

The 30th Annual Seymour Christmas Parade

Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m.

Save the Date!

The 30th Annual Seymour Christmas Parade is Saturday, December 9th at 3:00 p.m.

The King’s Academy will have several vehicles for this year’s parade themed "Christmas Thru The Decades." We would love to have a vehicle from as many of the decades as possible and for those riding on those vehicles to wear coordinating decade Christmas apparel (example: if you are in a 1980s vehicle, dress like Christmas in the 80s).

This is such a fun annual town tradition. We’d like as many people as possible to show up and show out for TKA!! This is an amazing opportunity for teachers, students, teams, and families to represent TKA in the community and celebrate Christmas together! To make the parade a success, we need some help!

Ways you can help:

▪ Donate candy to be thrown out at the parade (candy can be given to Ms. Gioioso or Ms. Reed)
▪ Walk with us on parade day. There will be a lead float with spots for riding. Spots are limited and preference will be given to small children and those unable to walk the distance of the parade route. The parade path is mildly strenuous due to the hills on Chapman Highway. PLEASE REGISTER TO RIDE with the link below if you need a spot to ride.
▪ We would love to have a car or vehicle from as many of the decades as possible! If you have a cool vehicle that can be used in the parade? Old car? Horse-drawn carriage? Click the link below and fill out the form. Someone will contact you soon!
