Steven has been involved in philately ever since the day he father dumped 10000 stamps in his lap and said "Sort these!" when he was 10 years old.
He is now 63 and a full time architect with his own practice, working and living in New York City with his wife Paula, son Ethan and Buddy the dog.
Steve is a member of 20+ societies, and has focused on recent commercial mail usages from smaller islands- in the Pacific and in the Atlantic. This evolved into understanding local overprints. Steve also is a part time stamp dealer- and his wares can be found on www.zirinskystamps.com. The emphasis is on the unusual- recent commercial mail and revenues are the norm. He also maintains a monthly newsletter of special offerings He can also be contacted directly at szirinsky@cs.com.
