"Multiplying like bunnies. I leave pillowcases alone in my house for a SECOND and that is what happens," said Iowa coordinator Brenda Cummer.

With 95% of the pillowcases counted we are proud to say that over 81,000 pillowcases were sewn during the month of September in honor of children battling cancer around the world.

The value of all those pillowcases in dollars? Over $800,000 of in- kind donations!

The value in smiles? Incalculable!

To each of you who sewed, cut, washed, bagged, lugged, donated and encouraged - I can never say thank you enough.

“I just wanted to send along a quick note of thanks. As a nurse at MGH(Boston) I have the pleasure of handing out your beautiful pillowcases to my patients. I wish all of your volunteers could see the smiles of our patients and their parents and families. The color and softness of each pillowcase is as comforting for our kids as it is for us.
