Wind not LNG!

wind turbines

Port Ambrose would displace a wind farm that is proposed for the same area!

Port Ambrose: All Risk, No Reward

buoy

Port Ambrose LNG, the Liquefied Natural Gas facility proposed off New York's shoreline, threatens Long Island with risks to local beach-based economies, security, and sea level rise. Even if you live inland, climate change from LNG's extreme carbon footprint is a risk. Boston built two of these marine facilities and they have been non-operational for the last two years due to lack of demand. Why would New York risk the same fate for a total of 6 (yes, SIX) jobs, when we could build a wind farm instead and create 40,000 permanent jobs?!

Want to host a forum on Port Ambrose where you live or go to school? Drop us a line (contact@saneenergyproject.org) and let's arrange it--but SOON--we only have until about May to convince Governor Cuomo to veto it!

Who you gonna call?

GOVERNOR CUOMO! He and Governor Christie have veto power. EVEN CHRIS CHRISTIE thinks Port Ambrose is a bad idea--'nuff said! Call Cuomo at (518) 474-8390 and tell him you want him to veto Port Ambrose and build the wind farm instead!

Who ELSE you gonna call?

Communities and public officials along the South Shore and in Nassau County near Long Beach have already come out strong against Port Ambrose. Here's who's already taken a stance. Now, we need more Long Islanders to be aware and to demand their elected representatives come out against it too. See the list below for who to call, or find your rep here.
