The assault on the Palestinian people in Gaza is continuing with no plans for a lasting ceasefire in sight. In fact, there is a great danger of an escalation to a ground invasion.
Canadian politicians in all parties have failed to take any meaningful action to stop the killing and the government of Stephen Harper has called for the world community to support Israel's war crimes. We need to show them that the people of Canada are opposed to the collective punishment of civilians in Gaza.
The Canadian Peace Alliance is calling on its member groups to oppose this brutality and to organize demonstrations - or join those already organized - in solidarity with Palestine this week.
