Spring/Summer 2016 Vincent Family Update

Peggy and Craig 2016

Craig & Peggy 2016

It is hard to believe that Peggy and I are in the midst of our 7th summer at Streamside. We are still diligently working to create a sustainable ministry that reaches children and strengthens churches especially among the urban poor on the east coast. We are grateful for the ever growing number of parents, missionaries, churches and ministry organizations that believe in the incredible impact that a week of quality Christian camping or a weekend retreat can have in the lives of their children, teens and adults. We have enjoyed working with and have been enriched by the full time staff, summer team members, internationals, teens in leadership training, volunteers and interns God has called to work along side of us. This year's internationals (pictured above) came from Great Britain, Germany, New Zealand and Bolivia. We are thankful for the patient support of BCM leadership who have been committed to this ministry and especially to those who give-including many of you-to provide for the needs of our family and the ministry of Streamside.

World Impact NCS 2016

Campers and missionaries from World Impact's Newark Christian School including that week's "Brother Knowledge" (trophy)

With the help of 4 Christian universities (Cairn, Summit, Eastern and Liberty) 282 campers (many coming from partnering Christian ministries) were encouraged to "Get Wisdom" as we studied the life and writings of Solomon. After competing as universities, 4 excelling campers were awarded with the coveted title of "Lady Wisdom" or "Brother Knowledge."

Streamside's leadership programs continue to grow as 16 teens participated in the Service & Leadership Training program along with 6 Counselors in Training. This fall we will be joined by 2 College@Camp students and 2 City Vision interns. We are inspired by the youthful enthusiasm and assistance they add to our camp community.

August has kicked off a busy retreat season of strengthening churches beginning with large groups from Church of the Savior Adventure Camp and Brooklyn Tabernacle's Royal Family Kids Camp. Combined with new and returning retreat groups throughout September, October and November, Streamside is anticipating finishing the year in an improved financial position.

One of this year's capital projects is to replace old and weathered decking at the pool and some of our cabin porches. Thanks to the provision of a heat treated product at cost from one of our campership donors, The Bingaman Lumber Company, we will have a great looking and durable finished product.

75 Anniversary

2017 is Streamside's 75th anniversary. Plan to join us at Streamside on May 13, 2017 or in Philadelphia in October 2017

We have added to our goal of increased monthly support in 2016. We can meet this need with 5 more supporters...

1 @ $50 a month
4 @ $25 a month

If you can be one of the final five, you can begin supporting our ministry at Streamside by giving on-line at https://bcm21697.thankyou4caring.org/streamside or by mail to BCM International, 201 Granite Run Drive, Suite 260, Lancaster, PA 17601. Checks should be made out to BCM International and designated to Craig Vincent support (#16191).

Randy and Karen engagement

Randy is now engaged to Karena Hunsberger. Randy met Karena through Renee where she is also a student at Cairn University. In an interesting twist, Renee married Randy's best friend at Summit University and now Randy will be marrying one of Renee's closest friends from Cairn. Karena is an elementary education major specializing in children with special needs. They are planning a June 2017 wedding.
