May 2023

Welcome Back,

Isn't it hard to believe that we are already halfway through the month of May? Here in the USA, we just celebrated our mothers this past weekend and despite the erratic weather we've had the last several weeks, we have been enjoying nicer days and longer daylight hours. We have renewed energy as we prepare for summer, which is just around the corner!

Many of us have dogs as pets and I wonder if they feel that same way, too? Excited about the nicer weather and the joys it brings. I bet they do share some of the same feelings as we do. As John Burdett puts it, "If it seems whimsical to compare dogs with humans – think again. Both follow patterns of behaviour common to all mammals; both have a strong emotional component to their makeup . . . . both are very sensitive to their environment." Well, in this month's newsletter we are featuring an insightful article that many of us can relate to, entitled If You Are a Dog Lover, You Already Know How to Manage People by John Burdett. Definitely some tangible takeaways, so please make sure to check it out below. But first, check out our Featured Candidates and Positions.

"We might only share 82% of our DNA with our furry friends but there are profound lessons to be drawn from how you interact with your dog – lessons that have implications for managing people."
