THE FENCE 2015 – CALL FOR ENTRIES
Dear Friends - it's that time of the year again!
THE FENCE is an annual series of summer-long, outdoor photographic exhibitions inaugurated in 2012 as a sister initiative to Photoville in Brooklyn Bridge Park with our partners in photo art mayhem Photo District News.
To mark its 4th edition, THE FENCE will present four outdoor exhibitions in 2015 in Brooklyn, Atlanta, Houston, and Boston (including a specially curated “New England” FENCE) – drawing an audience of more than 3 million visitors.
Tasked with curating four monumental outdoor photo installations, THE FENCE relies on the unparalleled vision and expertise of its jury – comprised of more than 40 highly-regarded photography professionals from around the world.
So read on for more information, and in the coming weeks we'll be announcing more partners, prizes and goodies - SO WATCH THIS SPACE! :)
With Love and Large Photos in the Least Likely Places,
The Photoville & United Photo Industries Team |
It's a new year, and THE FENCE marches on. Pursuing our mission of reaching new communities, and developing new audiences for photography, we are excited to welcome our newest FENCE location in Houston, Texas - in partnership with the Houston Center for Photography!
As always, each submission is automatically considered for all four FENCE exhibitions - with no additional steps, fees, or hoops to jump through. |
 THE FENCE - Brooklyn |
BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK
Brooklyn Bridge Park is the birthplace of THE FENCE - and will always have a special significance in our photographic heart of hearts.
Measuring 1000ft in length along the Brooklyn Bridge Park Greenway, The FENCE at BBP is where it all started! |
 THE FENCE - Boston |
FLASH FORWARD FESTIVAL
Boston feels like our second home – in 2013, together with our wonderful partners at the Flash Forward Festival we knocked it out of the park with the introduction of a 800ft-long FENCE adjacent to Boston's popular North Market.
For its 3rd year, our Boston FENCE at the Rose F. Kennedy Greenway will once again include an additional curated section dedicated to New England-based photographers! |
 THE FENCE - Atlanta |
ATLANTA CELEBRATES PHOTOGRAPHY
Introduced in 2014 as part of the Atlanta Celebrates Photography Festival, the 750ft-long Atlanta FENCE exhibition rapidly became an audience favorite, attracting record numbers of visitors. |

HOUSTON CENTER OF PHOTOGRAPHY
