We're coming to the end of another year and I'd like to round off the year with our recent news. Many thanks to the Albemarle Gallery, London, for the recent exhibition "5 SCULPTORS" and if you missed the show an exhibition catalogue is available here.

To confirm that winter has arrived thanks also to the family Young for sharing an image of "ChaChaCha" in first snow over in New York State.

David-Begbie-STILL Simulation-FR

My current project in progress is the 2.40 meters high STILL I and STILL II (also available individually or as a pair as limited edition miniatures). The simulated image shows how they could look on the lawns of our new partner gallery OPIOM, France which opened with a fabulous party this year. Thanks again to owner Michael Zingraf and gallery director Eve Janprasert.

David-Begbie CSS-donation

"PROTO", David and Stephanie Harwood (Harwood & Co) for CSS

I have been invited by Stephanie Harwood and Krassi Gormley, along with three other artists, to represent the UK in this forthcoming fundraising event taking place in Shanghai 2014 and I am very pleased to be able to offer a sculpture originally made as a working maquette for a giant sculpture commissioned for the Millennium Dome in 1999.
The Consul Spouses Shanghai (CSS) Project with representatives from over 30 diplomatic missions' fund raising activity 2014 is an art project designed to help Children of the World and to support International Women's Day to which I have donated "PROTO" for exhibition and auction. Krassi Gormley, wife of Irish CG, is the President of CSS and is organising the event which will undoubtedly attract considerable media attention.

Hanover-Grange Fashion-Party-2

Hanover Grange, Jamaica

Fashion-Show at Hanover Grange, Jamaica
On a warmer note Theresa and Andrew Roberts celebrated a two-night fashion fest with hand-picked designer for the stars Isabell Kristensen. Complementing her stunning pieces with designs from young UK talent, Christopher Childs and Natalie Talbott along with local brand Reve Jewellery, my own, wall-mounted "super model" sculptures were a fitting backdrop for the event. "STATU I" and "STATU II" were commissioned by Andrew and Theresa for Hanover Grange in 2010.

Installation at Nousa, Australia
Finally I'd like to end my newsletter still on a warm note. Many thanks to Michelle for sharing a photo of her sculpture "SINUU", a suspended steelmesh double figure sculpture in situ - at her Nousa home, Australia, where it is now the height of summer. It just looks fab!

Thanks and best wishes to all my friends and clients - have a great holiday!
