Our supply cupboards were getting to be almost bare of formula with very few sources available - a true crisis for an orphan care center. We have found a supply of (expensive) formula through a local pharmacy for the time being but we need your prayers that we can continue to find and purchase this most valuable necessity!

Our orphanage staff has been carefully following safety procedures in light of the pandemic, including prohibiting visitors, keeping nannies in residence and wearing face masks/gloves. The virus has not reached Shashemene as of today and the decision was made to return to normal protocols, with strong safeguards in place to protect our children and staff. We are keeping a close watch for any indications of the virus.
