Congratulations...

on making your best decision so far in 2015 by joining this year's CRUZFIT TEAM FITNESS CHALLENGE! We’re so excited to have you and your team on board for this year's program, and we're look forward watching you all work together towards achieving optimal fitness in 2015!!

This year's challenge has already begun (the first day to record exercise minutes was Monday, Jan. 19th), so you've got some catching up to do! Since you jumped on the CruzFit bandwagon a little late into the game, you need to catch-up on some of the useful info you've already missed. Please take a moment to read through these emails that were sent out earlier in the program:
* "Exercise-Tracker Tips & Info"
* "Introducing Team Leaderboards!"
* "Weekly Newsletter #1"
* "Weekly Newsletter #2"
* "Free Nutrition Class (w/Prizes)"
* "Last Chance to Sign-up for CruzFit"
* "A Special Offer from UCSC Recreation"

Also, to help you succeed in this challenge we've listed some helpful answers and tips for getting started and making the most of this year's exercise-tracking program. Please take a moment to read through them all…

FAQ's: Tracking Your Activity Minutes:

When does/did the challenge begin / When can I start tracking my exercise?

The first day of the 8-week challenge is/was Monday, January 19th. You're welcome and encouraged to start exercising before then, but PLEASE DON'T START TRACKING EXERCISE-MINUTES UNTIL THE CHALLENGE BEGINS.

Where do I keep track of my exercise minutes?

Your team captain should have received an email with instructions for creating your team's Exercise-Tracker file in Google Sheets and sharing it with everyone on your team immediately after they registered your team. If you didn't receive this email and need help creating your team's Exercise-Tracker file, please contact us ASAP.

TIP: DON'T ENTER YOUR EXERCISE-MINUTES AHEAD OF TIME! Treat your exercise-tracking as a small reward for actually having completed your exercise for the day. Entering your minutes early not only goes against the honors-system aspect of the program, but it also prevents you from developing the healthy-habit of honestly and accurately journaling your fitness achievements (every workout is an achievement!).

How do I earn exercise minutes?

As their name implies, you earn minutes by EXERCISING. This can be ANY physical activity of your choice, but we do encourage and recommend you strive for activities that are at least moderately-intense for you (moderate-intensity aerobic activity means you're working hard enough to raise your heart-rate and break a sweat. One way to tell is that you'll be able to talk, but not sing the words to your favorite song). You do as much exercise each day as you'd like, but we only allow you to count a max of 90-minutes/day towards your CruzFit goal.

How many minutes do I need to accumulate?

This Year's Finisher's T-Shirt (rough draft)

In order to be eligible for the Finisher's T-shirt, you and your teammate(s) each must earn the minimum minutes required for your challenge-level, and you must each record those minutes in your CruzFit Exericse-Tracker. This year we are offering 3 different challenge level goals, which are as follows: Easy = 1200 minutes, Moderate = 1800 minutes, Hard = 2400 minutes. These challenge goals must be completed within the 8 weeks of the program.

Do I have to workout with my teammates all the time?

You are encouraged to do activities with your teammates as often as possible, but exercise-minutes are still accumulated for activities done on your own.

Does every person on the team have to log/track minutes?

Yes. Every team member must log individual minutes using the CruzFit Tracker. Logging your activity is a great way to help get you into a regular routine. It will also be your ticket to claim your Finisher's T-shirt!
