Dear Reader,

Welcome to Good Chi News. This is our second edition and I hope you'll enjoy it and find it useful. I was hoping to get this issue out early March but I had a billion biz bits to do so it's a late issue.

Chair Chi Plus Pilot Study

canstockphoto16167366

I'm looking forward to starting our Chair Chi Plus pilot study next week at an aged care centre located here in Melbourne, Australia.

I'm working with 6 low care and high care aged care residents over 6 weeks, running 3 Chair Chi Plus sessions per week.

The aim of this pilot study is to:
1. Increase Leg Strength
2. Improve Balance
3. Achieve a Cardiovascular Workout
4. Enhance Emotional/Psychological wellbeing

After the pilot study is completed I'll produce a report and publish the findings.

Top 5 Regrets of the Dying

hands-compassion

Bronnie Ware, an Australian nurse working in palliative care, wrote a book called the Top 5 Regrets of Dying where she interviewed patients in the last 12 weeks of their lives.

She discovered their top 5 regrets were:

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
2. I wish I hadn't worked so hard.
3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

It certainly makes me reflect on what is really important in life.
