PTA Message

Thank you to everyone that joined the General PTA Meeting, which occurred 12Nov2020. The general budget for 2020-2021 was approved.

It's Time for Coats for Kids

It's time to bring in those new and gently used coats for the annual Junior League of Austin's Coats for Kids Coat Drive Competition! Mills families have such generous hearts, and we're always overflowing with donations to help keep local families in need warm this winter.

There will be a blue donation bin with a sign marked "Donation Bin for Coats for Kids" in the front parking lot (see map below). Just drive right up and drop them off, the Community Outreach Committee will take it from there! We welcome new and gently used coats of all colors and sizes including adult-sized coats for older recipients. This year we are most in need of coats for ages 12 -18. The coat drive runs from Monday, November 9 through Wednesday, December 2, 2020.

Let's show our Mountain Lion spirit by helping us reach our goal of 200 coats and let's win the competition for elementary schools this year! We'll keep you posted here and on the Facebook page with a running tally. Thank you in advance for always showing your compassion for our community.

Mills Adopt-a-Landscape

The Mills Dirt Club is trying a new way to help out around campus while maximizing your social distancing! We have identified small areas around campus that families can adopt for the school year.

Most just need some weeding and TLC, though there are some areas that can have new plants or mulch added as well. The SignUpGenius below has individual details, and what work might be involved with each.

It’s not too late! Join Mills PTA!

Thank you so much to the parents, grandparents, teachers and faculty who have joined the PTA for the first time or renewed their membership! All of you are creating a valued partnership between family, educators and children. If you haven’t already joined there is still time to become a member and gain all the rewards from being a part of PTA.
