Indian Summer / Trip - Your thoughts please
(organization)
Hello ,
Greeting from Spain, where I am still, my Asia trip is slightly delayed, but first stop will be Delhi week after next.
So there is a balmy Indian Summer across much of Europe including the UK, so hope you are enjoying it to the full. Why do they call it an Indian Summer? Because in India the summer is mostly monsoon rains and mosquitoes. This year in Delhi is particularly bad, I read on the BBC of 25,000 cases of Dengue fever in India with Delhi badly hit. Oh well the things I have to do for AW.
But it's at least giving me more time to set up the meetings and sort the travel plan more carefully.
Whilst in Sheffield I was fortunate enough to meet some of our customers who generously furnished me with ideas for Indian products we should be stocking.
But I'm still looking for ideas! If you have sold something in the past, know of good selling lines or have a creative idea - I would be delighted to hear from you.
I'm thinking about Indian textiles; bags, scarves, skirt wraps (one suggestion given me). Our Indian ethnic bags already sell incredibly well (see below) so anything in this area you point me to would be so appreciated.
I'm also planning to meet with our esoteric suppliers - stone pendulums and the like. Ideas please :)
Then a trip to Moradabad - it's known as the Brass City of India, so that should be interesting. Any metal product ideas?
After that I will be going to Java in Indonesia, so a completely different set of products.. but we have time to think about this later.
Meanwhile back in balmy sun dappled Sheffield..
Now it's getting very busy, we are coping well with the orders so far :)
But be warned about this time we start to struggle to keep up with usual turnaround times. Get your orders in early to be sure of stock.
Hope you have a delightful weekend!
Enjoy the glorious weather.
Take care
David
