SERVE: Feed the Farnsworth Family!

Our IPUMC family has grown again! Lisa, Andrew and Lorelei Farnsworth welcomed baby Alex on March 10…and we want to nourish them! We use a great online tool, www.TakeThemAMeal.com. You can click here or just go the www.takethemameal.com, enter the last name Farnsworth, and the password is nourish. You’ll see days available as well as a bit of detail about preferences. Meals start this Saturday, April 1. You’ll see all these details on the site as well. Take Them a Meal also includes lots of meal/menu suggestions, recipes, as well as meals you can purchase and have sent.

If you have any questions, call Kris Dwyer at 678-488-6501. Let’s get cooking!

Summer SERVE Opportunity with the IPC Book Club!

Inman Park Church Book Club has decided to support The Stewart Center this summer as an outgrowth of the things we have been reading and discussing.

The Stewart Center hosts a summer camp and needs groups to provide lunch each day for the kids. We have agreed to provide lunch on three Tuesdays this summer. This involves menu planning, grocery shopping, advance prep, and set-up/serving/clean-up on the specified day. Thus, there are a variety of ways and times people can be involved.

We wanted to share this opportunity with the larger church in case others want to join us. Anyone who is interested is welcome to contact Kristen Vincent at kevincent619@gmail.com or 770-823-4848.

CONNECT: Join us at the Wild Goose Festival!

We're excited to announce that Kristen Vincent will be leading a workshop and having a booth at this year's Wild Goose Festival! If you've never heard of it, to put it briefly it’s a 4-day Spirit, Justice, Music and Arts Festival. But it’s so much more than that too!

Come hang out with us and hear amazing speakers including Nadia Bolz-Weber, William P. Young (author of The Shack), Diana Butler Bass, and many others, including a number of Upper Room authors. There's also music, Beer & Hymns, food trucks, camping, and all manner of zaniness. It always draws some of the best contemporary Christian speakers and musicians. Seriously, not to be missed!

Kristen will be offering a workshop on her new book, Beads of Healing. She'll also have a booth where she'll be selling prayer beads, holding crosses, Deeply Loved merchandise, and much more!

The Festival is July 13-16 in Hot Springs, NC, and you can camp. glamp or do Airbnb. Click here for more info!

world prayer

Ecumenical Prayer Cycle

As a way to remember our connection with Christians around the globe, we will start using a great prayer tool: the Ecumenical Prayer Cycle. Each week of the year a number of countries are highlighted to lift up in prayer. There are also prayers written by Christians in those countries that you can use. By following the cycle throughout the year, you would pray your way around the globe. We will start listing the different countries each week in our prayer list.

For the week of April 23 pray for: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia

To find out more and to find links to the prayers from countries around the world click here.
