Love West Dulwich Christmas Fair 29th November 10am-5pm

loves-west-dulwich-christmas-fair

We will be having a VERY special Saturday storytime on the 29th, from 11am- 11.20am with Minnie the Clown. Then from 11.30am-1pm and 2pm-4pm Minnie will be over at the Dulwich Bakery making balloon animals, doing the odd magic trick, and applying glitter tattoos to anyone who stands still long enough.

Our Where's Wally event at the last Love West Dulwich day was so much fun, we are teaming up with Buster Books to bring you a festive twist with Where's Santa?
Check in at Dulwich Books to start your hunt for Santa through the local shops and enter the prize draw!
And there will be plenty for parents on the way around, as there will be live entertainment, street food stalls, and lots of offers and events in many of local shops.

You can check out the whole program and times at our website here.

We look forward to seeing you there, and let your friends know! It should be a lovely day out.

Check out Love West Dulwich on Facebook or follow @lovewestdulwich on twitter to keep up to date with all the news.

Irving Finkel at the Dulwich Picture Gallery Tuesday 13th January 7.30pm

irving-finkel

In 1985 a member of the public walked into the British Museum with a tiny piece of ancient Babylonian clay. Irving Finkel, assistant keeper of the Ancient Mesopotamian Department in the British Museum realised immediately that it was of enormous significance. But it was not until 2009 that the tablet could be deciphered. Dating from 1850BC, the tablet contains the detailed instructions for building the Ark which it turns out was round like a coracle.

7pm for a 7.30pm start this event takes place in the Linbury Rooms of the Dulwich Picture Gallery. Tickets are £16 for non members (£14 for Friends of the Picture Gallery) and include a glass of wine and a copy of The Ark Before Noah.

Tickets are bookable online with the Dulwich Picture Gallery, via Dulwich Books on 020 8670 1920, email or via the Dulwich Picture Gallery on 020 8299 8750
