On early Wednesday afternoon an Arab terrorist stabbed an IDF soldier and tried to steal his gun in Kiryat Gat, located east of Ashkelon on the coastal plains - not over the 1949 Armistice line. Initial details from the scene indicate that the Arab terrorist arrived in Kiryat Gat on a bus, spotted the soldier and stole his weapon. The soldier fought to regain his gun, at which point he was suffered light stab wounds to his head. The terrorist then darted into a residential building. Police from Kiryat Gat station reached the scene within minutes, and rushed into the building. The terrorist apparently opened fire on them, to which they responded with precise fire, eliminating him. None of the police forces were wounded.

An Arab mob ambushed a female Jewish motorist with rocks Wednesday morning, then proceeded to kick her and try and wrest her from the car. She managed to escape. The woman, who is in her 40s, was hurt by rocks and kicks to her entire body. She has been taken to Shaare Tzedek hospital and is in stable condition. She is a resident of Tekoa. The attack took place outside the Arab village of Beit Sahour, near Bethlehem, on a route used by thousands of Jewish motorists every day. While rock attacks by Arabs have become nearly routine, this is the first time in recent years that such an attack was followed by attempts to physically engage the motorist and perhaps abduct her.

A female Arab terrorist stabbed and moderately wounded a Jewish man, aged 36, at the Lion's Gate in the Old City, on the eastern side of the Temple Mount, Wednesday morning. The man shot the terrorist, who is in serious condition.Police sources said that the stabber sneaked up from behind the man and stabbed him near the neck. He turned around and shot her in self defense. She tried to run away but nearby Border Police gave chase, pounced on her and neutralized her.
