Wednesday Morning: Ladies Study - 9am - The book of Job (Currently meeting at Jen Shannon's house. Give us a call for directions.)

You are welcome to join in studies at any time!

Garden & Nursery News

The Garden meets this Sunday, with Jen Shannon leading a lesson about turning to God with our doubts. Kids, bring your Bibles!
As always, activity pages are on the table by the Sanctuary doors for kids who remain in Worship. Nursery kids (age 3 and younger) are invited to the Nursery for a Bible story time.

Youth Group

Our first meeting of the school year brought eight youth together for our Black Letters of Jesus curriculum, conversation, and fun. We discussed the idols of our culture, played games, and had root beer floats. We were very happy to welcome Caitlin, our new 5th grade member, and Alexis, a friend of Audrey's! Fall schedules were sent home with everyone. All youth in 5th grade and up are welcome to attend!
(We won't meet during the weeks of Fall Bible School. We hope you'll attend FBS instead!)

Crochet Class: Magic Circles with Jess

This Saturday at 1pm

Time has changed to 1:00 instead of 2:00!

Come be a part of the laughter and fun as Jess teaches us a new stitch. Don't know how to crochet? No problem. Everyone is welcome! Bring your crochet hook and a willingness to learn, Jess will provide the yarn and the know-how.

Maze Craze Visit

This Sunday at 4pm
The Youth Group invites you to join us at the Maze Craze, 14070 State Route 165 in New Springfield. We'll meet there at 4:00, take a group photo, then head into the maze. Younger siblings welcome to stay and participate with parents. The more, the merrier! Tickets cost $10. If weather forces us to cancel, texts will be sent to inform everyone of the change in plans.

UPCOMING AT CG

Fall Bible School

Ten days until September 30 & FBS begins! (Dates: 9/30, 10/7, 10/14 after Worship until 2:00ish & 10/20 from 3-5pm, Fall Fest included, with bonfire dinner after 5:00.)
This journey through the orchard is for the whole church family (and friends and extended family, too, of course!) together...not just kids and volunteers. We will stay together as a group to hear the Bible story, play some games, do crafts, and more! Everyone is asked to bring their lunch for the three Sundays of FBS. We will eat a quick meal together right after Worship and then embark on our adventure from 12:30ish to 2:00ish. Please sign up on the bulletin board or call Jen L. to RSVP so we are sure to have enough supplies.

Happenings Here

So much going on here each week! We have Leetonia on Tuesdays, Salem High School on Thursdays, and Crestview on Fridays. This week, we had some bonus visits - our friend, and former GG Director, Greg Bowman stopped by on Tuesday and Mohawk High School visited on Wednesday! You are always invited to stop in to see all we can accomplish together.

Wooden Pumpkins

Don cut up two trees for us, a pine and a locust. (Thanks Don!) Our clients, staff, and students have been working to turn those tree slices into beautiful autumn pumpkins. These handmade works of art sold out at the Mission Night Market and we had to disappoint folks that came to Canfield's Market on the Green looking for them. Since then, we've been working on making more. They will be available for $6, while supplies last. We think our folks are pretty talented!

For I was hungry and you gave me food;
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink;
I was a stranger and you took me in;
I was naked and you clothed me;
I was sick and you visited me.
I was in prison and you came to me.

.....When you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters,
you were doing it to me.
