E-Bike Video Casting Callout

Want to improve e-bike safety in Hawai‘i? We’re looking for local residents to be in a *multi-part video series being created on e-bikes* for education & enjoyment. These short videos will be filmed professionally by a Honolulu-based video production company in the next coming months. So if you don’t mind being in front of the camera, this is your chance to play a role (however big or small you’d like) and make an impact in getting riders cycling safely in Hawai‘i!

First Half of the School Year is Complete!

We are looking forward to the second half of the school year, with our newest member “Pete” the Penske. We finally got a new truck! It should be wrapped and ready to go to start the new semester. But before we get too far ahead, in the first half of the school year we visited 49 elementary schools, with over 3,600 students participating. Approximately 700 of those students learned how to ride a bicycle, while the rest finished our road safety program.

Come join the excitement, apply for a part time BikeEd instructor position today.

Helpers Needed for Helmet Giveaway (Saturday, 1/20)!

Help get brand new helmets out to keiki on Saturday, January 20th, where HBL will be partnering with the Hawai‘i Pacific University Men’s basketball team to give away more than 100 helmets to youth at HPU’s basketball game. This helmet giveaway is in honour of Kameron Steinhoff, a former HPU teammate who tragically passed away after suffering head injuries from a skateboard crash in 2011.
