Modern Haiku

I was delighted to learn that the following haiku was accepted for the October issue of Modern Haiku. It appeared in text form only, but I combined it with the following picture, which I took earlier this fall. They seemed to go well together.

Naad Anunaad: An anthology of contemporary world haiku

This anthology, edited by Kala Ramesh, Sanjuktaa Asopam, and Shloka Shankar, was released in India earlier this fall. I was thrilled beyond words to be included in this project, which should also be available in North America soon.

Here are my featured haiku:

Something Cool

A couple days ago my son finished his lego VW bug we got him for his birthday -- he turned 18! Still can't quite wrap my head around that one. Anyhow, the level of detail is absolutely crazy. There are even loose, clear pieces in the cooler that are supposed to be ice cubes. Legos have come a long way in the last 35+ years, wouldn't you say? Very, very cool!
