Happy Weekend to you!

We arrived to my parents' home last evening, to spend some time in South Dakota and North Dakota - to celebrate Christmas with family. Just a few minutes before turning into Dad and Mom's driveway, the foggy, dull sky broke up into a beautiful, colorful sunset. The perfect welcome "home".

Today we drove to Sioux Falls to watch my niece in The Nutcracker. Kate was graceful and beautiful, and the performance was wonderful overall. It was the perfect way to kick off our time together.

Wishing you a most wonderful and delicious Christmas.

Merry CHRISTmas from our family to yours,
Blake, Brenda, Hatti & Tessa

CRUMBS: What We Made Recently

I've fallen head over heels for my Chewy Ginger Molasses Cookies. For all the obvious reasons: they're soft and chewy and perfectly spiced. But also because: they are so easy, with no need to refrigerate the dough!

There's still time to make these cookies for Christmas!!

Our girls ALWAYS request we make Marshmallow Caramel Rice Krispies Puffs for Christmas. I grew up with these cheery no-bake treats, and completely understand why they like them so much. They're fun to make and fun to eat!
