We are also glad to send out prayer requests and praise reports anytime throughout the week! | Encouragement Thank you to Marcia Kreps for sharing and Darla Smith for writing these weekly bits of encouragement. "I pray your week has been a blessed one. Well, my flower and my vegetable seeds are planted – but I need some sunshine – it has been cold and rainy. They are not wanting to pop their tiny sprouts out yet. I am getting anxious to see them appear. They are smart and staying underground until it gets warmer. God certainly knew what He was doing when He created things to happen the way they do. Our God is an Awesome God!" "My “WORD” for this week is “FLOW.” In the scripture below it also says “BRIMS,” so whichever works for you is good for me. When I first thought of “flow,” it was in a negative way. When something in our life is stuck or clogged – there is no “flow” – nothing can get through. When we find ourselves in a rut so to speak – we are just spinning our wheels. Nothing is being accomplished. When everything is going as we planned – there is a “flow” to things - no hiccups. We need to try to keep our “flow” clear of any clogs, bad thoughts, anger, unforgiveness, gossip, or anything else that would keep us from showing Jesus’ kind of love. We need our “flow” to be a steady stream of love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness, joy, and even laughter to “brim” over onto others around us. Let’s be the best example of Jesus’ love we can. Let’s work on it – every day – let it be our goal in this life. Keep our “flow” moving in the right direction to reach others in a loving way, not letting anything block our way." “You don’t get wormy apples off a healthy tree, nor good apples off a diseased tree. The health of the apple tells the health of the tree. You must begin with your own life-giving lives. It’s who you are, not what you say and do, that counts. Your true being brims over into true words and deeds." ~ Luke 6:43-45 (MSG) ~~~ | Please pray for the 1,200 Pastors, Elders, and men pursuing Pastoral Ministry who are attending Basics Pastors' Conference at Parkside Church this week.
