Presidential Announcement

I would like to share with you President Trump's announcement of Thursday afternoon - Click Here. This is great news for all Americans as we struggle with the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus and strive to restart our best-in-the-world economy. Millions of Americans are impacted physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. It is time for us to restart our country's economic machinery. While this will be a gradual process, it has now begun and we can all begin to return to our normal lives.

The President and his team have the full and explicit support of me and my team, "the Truong Train", for displaying exemplary leadership in a crisis that is unprecedented in American history. He acted decisively in establishing a travel ban first from China and then Europe as soon as it became clear travelers from those areas posed a potentially deadly risk to Americans. He and his team have been at the forefront addressing the needs of states, municipalities, and any other jurisdiction that expressed a need for equipment, medicines, medical assistance, and hospital beds. Some governors were unprepared as they had chosen to squander state resources instead of preparing for unexpected emergencies such as what emerged from China. Fortunately, President Trump stepped up to fill the equipment and leadership gaps promptly.

President Trump and his team methodically, decisively, and quickly addressed all problems arising from this pandemic and saved untold lives by their bold and decisive actions. We should all thank and congratulate them for their hard and untiring work as America's first line of defense against the CCP Virus.

While steps are being taken to normalize life once again, I recommend that we all maintain our "social distancing" protocols for the time being. Better safe than sorry.

What is Governor Northam up to?

Virginia Governor Ralph Northam signed an Executive Order for a stay-at-home mandate until June 10 with no detailed explanation of the decision. The University of Washington IHME model (which tracks COVID-19 around the country) suddenly shifted its prediction about the peak of outbreaks in VA from mid-May to mid-April, a significant decrease in the timetable. Based on this change, Governor Northam needs to explain the reason he has not been willing to make the adjustments to his plan accordingly to end the stay-at-home order sooner than June 10th so Virginians can get back to work and get their lives back to normal.

Furthermore, we need clarification of the death toll reported by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). Among the reported number of deaths, how many are classified as death from the coronavirus and how many are with the coronavirus and other pre-existing conditions? Does this number really justify the stay-at-home order until June 10th?

Virginia state law requires primary and convention results to be certified by June 9th in order for candidates to appear on the November ballot. It appears that the Governor is taking advantage of the health crisis to interfere in the state's democratic processes. Rest assured that our District Leadership, District Committees throughout the Commonwealth, and the RPV have been made well aware of this and will take appropriate legal action to ensure that we are not disenfranchised in this manner.

I now ask for your continued support. Like other GOP candidates in this race, I did my service, but in a different way. I did not carry a gun, but I carried everything I had in a small plastic bag. I did not lose life or limb, but I risked them to escape oppression. I lost my country, education, and language to communism. I had to re-learn it all. The test for anyone is what you do after meeting and conquering adversity. My accomplishments set me apart as a result of adversity, not by what I did before or during this adversity. I did not lay helpless, but rose above it to achieve personal success, family success, and community success. I have led others to succeed where many have failed. We need a candidate who can beat Jennifer Wexton in November and be the antidote to her socialist schemes, NOT another Republican-in-Name-Only (RINO)! I am a true Conservative with over twenty-six years of business and leadership experience. I know about how businesses and the economy work. I know how to lead. I know how to influence people. I will not compromise on our shared principles of limited government!
