"You Have Never Forgotten Me..."

There are many ways to express how important people like you are to Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl (CCOC), but the following, spoken by Gali who was rescued by CCOC, says it best:

"My name is Gali, and I arrived in Group 1 of the CCOC rescue flights to Israel in August 1990. This became my home and my family.

"I want to say a huge thank you to Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl who never forget me and my family, not even for a moment. Since I immigrated to a new country without a family, you raised me and educated me. You gave me health, a home, and love. You gave me a sympathetic ear and a caressing hand, you helped me marry…you never left me for a moment because family does not leave.

"I want to tell this wonderful CCOC team that your mission is holy. It not only saved us…you give us strength to bring new life, children, and families of our own into the world."

If ever for one moment you wondered what your support of CCOC could mean, you need not wonder anymore.

It’s only with the partnership of people like you that we can continue our lifesaving work for the Chernobyl children.

With Passover coming, please help us care for our young Chernobyl children living with us, so they can have everything they need for Passover including new clothes and the opportunity to enjoy the holiday like all children their age.

Please help us provide for our Chernobyl alumni - those who are single and living on their own; those serving in the Israel Defense Forces; those married with families of their own.

Please help ensure they all have a Seder to attend and everything they need to celebrate a joyous Passover, because we are their family.

For many of them - like Gali – we are their only family.

Please make the largest Passover gift you can to Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl. You will be bringing life, love and help to all the Chernobyl children – our family.

Thank you. May you and your loved ones have a wonderful and meaningful Passover.
