Happy Fall Laurel School Families,

What a wonderful and busy September we have had at Laurel!

Recently we have had many inquiries regarding volunteerism at the school which is absolutely amazing! As you know, our school is an independent non-profit organization that relies on the participation of our community members to ensure that our school will continue to thrive.
In past years families have offered to volunteer in so many different ways such as: school maintenance, library organization, baked goods for various events (especially for Community Morning Meetings), classroom help, etc.
There are many ways to volunteer at our school and I would like to touch on two current opportunities that we are looking to build.

We have a new fundraising parent group lead by Sarah Piebes, a preschool Mom and our treasurer for the Board of Trustees. There will be information posted by the front office if you are interested to join this amazing group!
Also, as mentioned at our last Community Morning Meeting, we need to grow our Board of Trustees. Since our Community has doubled in size, so must our board to create the best support for the school. If anyone is interested to donate their time and be a part of our school board please see me in the front office and I will look forward to speaking with you!
For more information about how you can help or volunteer at the school please join me for “Coffee Talk” beginning at 8:15 am prior to Community Morning Meeting on Tuesday, October 2nd!

I am looking forward to a beautiful October!

Best,
Amy Carroll
Head of School

Parking Update

Our employee parking will be located on the left hand side of the school as you pull into our driveway. Families are encouraged to use the parking lot on the right of the driveway or using the circle parking. A map is below to show what parking should look like in both of those areas leaving open our Auction Spot and our Handicap spot (unless needed).
Drop off and pick up times may be busy, and families may use the employee lot if space is unavailable in the right-hand side lot or circle area.
Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter and please direct any questions you may have to the front office.

Annual Harvest Night Gala

The Laurel School's Annual Harvest Night Gala

Friday, November 16, 2018 6pm - 9pm

Wequassett Resort & Golf Club

Harwich, MA

The Laurel School is very fortunate that the award-winning Wequassett Resort & Golf Club is hosting our Harvest Night Gala fundraiser. This is our biggest fundraising event of the year! Please join us for a cocktail social with entertainment, silent and a live auction in the Garden Terrace with stunning ocean views.

Tickets are $50 each and may be purchased with a credit card on the link below, or by picking up a ticket purchase form from the office and returning it with a check or cash. This community event is one not to be missed, and a portion of each ticket price, as well as all of the auction proceeds, will benefit The Laurel School's Annual Fund.

We will have a fun Kids Night Out for the children if childcare is needed for attending families. Kids Night Out will be held at the Wequassett Children's Center and they will enjoy dinner, games and a dessert! The cost is $15 per child.

Please support The Laurel School's Annual Harvest Night Gala by purchasing tickets, donating items of interest, gift certificates, event tickets, unique opportunities or services. Donations may be made via the Harvest Night Gala link on the website. Volunteers are always appreciated!

The Harvest Night Gala is our School's Biggest Fundraiser of the year! We need your help to collect donation from local community members and businesses! We ask that all families help to secure two donations. Please have donors fill out the procurement forms. Packets will be going home today! They are also located in the front hallway. Please be sure they are donated as we would not want any families paying for items.
We ask that all donated items be delivered to the school by Friday, November 2nd 2018. Thank you all for your time and support!
