Teacher Appreciation Week

Hi Parents! This week, May 4 - May 8, is Teacher Appreciation week. We would love to honor our dedicated teachers and staff for all the hard work they have done during these unprecedented times. We would like to virtually show a little appreciation towards the teachers by compiling a collection of messages of teacher/staff appreciation and then have Friends of Northside share the collection with the faculty/staff.

Email your message to northsideparents@gmail.com. The deadline for submitting the messages is Tuesday, May 5. Please let us know if you want your name attached to your message or if you want your message to be anonymous. Thank you!

FON is working with NCP faculty and staff to coordinate an effort to support the businesses of Northside families. Please use THIS FORM to submit information about a Northside family business. Then we will share the list with the NCP community.

As a reminder, this Question Form is available to submit your questions to the NCP administration. Please note that you will not receive a direct response to your question. Instead, this form will be used as a repository for parent questions. Once the admin team receives information or finds answers to these questions, they will be sent out as part of the parent updates.

NCP Virtual Counseling Needs Assessment

During the quarantine, the NCP Counseling Department would like to make sure they address your needs, questions, or concerns in an effective and efficient manner. As a result, they are offering individual and small group Google Meet sessions for students and parents to maximize their ability to connect with the NCP community.

Please Continue to Support the Paddle Raise to Build a New Turf Field

This year’s Paddle Raise is dedicated to raising funds for a much-needed, new turf athletic field. Every year, more gym classes and home athletic games must be cancelled because our Northside field is in such poor condition. Heavy use over the years has rendered it virtually unusable. A new turf field will allow our students, and future Northsiders, to play and exercise outside safely throughout the year. Let's give all of them a home-field advantage. Please demonstrate your strong support for this long-overdue improvement to the Northside campus by making a monetary contribution to the 2020 Paddle Raise.

Thanks to the overwhelming support of our NCP community, we are able to set a new Paddle Raise goal of $40,000!

Pickups are taking place in a safe, social-distancing manner from the front porch of her Wicker Park home. For those of you who do not want to venture out, Kristen will continue to hold your items and future arrangements will be made.

One Summer Chicago brings together government institutions, community-based organizations, and companies to offer over 30,000 employment and internship opportunities
to youth and young adults ages 14 to 24.

FAN is Family Action Network, an organization which connects parents, educators and professionals through collaborative programming that educates, inspires and positively impacts the broader community. FAN hosts speaker events, discussing the issues that interest you.
