Brevard, NC–Carolina Blue, New Artist of the Year Nominees for the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), have exciting news going into World of Bluegrass week with two live performances (previously recorded) and the announcement of new booking representation.
Carolina Blue is pleased to announce they have partnered with Main Attraction Management, a boutique booking agency managed by Laura Mainer, for exclusive booking representation. Jim Roe of Roe Entertainment has represented Carolina Blue since January 2019 and has secured many debut appearances for the band around the country. "After nearly 40 years in the music business, with 15 of those as a bluegrass booking agent, I have decided to retire from full-time booking," says Roe. "I have thoroughly enjoyed my years in bluegrass and I am very pleased to see Carolina Blue sign with Main Attraction Management. Laura is a top level agent and I believe this to be a very good fit for everyone involved."
Carolina Blue co-founder Bobby Powell says, "We are thrilled to be added to the Main Attraction Management roster. We've been friends with Laura Mainer for several years and it seems like a natural place for us to be with the retirement of Jim Roe. He has an impeccable reputation in our industry and has done so much for our band. We will miss him being a part of the Carolina Blue team, but he leaves us in very capable hands with Laura.
