Happy November Laurel School Families,

I hope you are all ready to “Fall Back” on Sunday, November 5th! Time certainly does fly when you’re having fun! I would like to update all of you on some recent changes within our Board of Trustees!

Martha Duffy has served on our Board of Trustees for the last three years and has a great understanding of the demands as Board President. Martha would like to continue on as a board member to enjoy some travel in her retirement and pass the torch to our current Vice President, Cindy Nuzzolo. We would like to thank Martha for her service and continued commitment to the Laurel School and welcome Cindy as our new President of the Board of Trustees. Congratulations Cindy!

Also, Jacqui Beebe has been a longtime member of the board and an alumni family of Laurel. She recently was appointed as the Town Administrator for Eastham and has an enormous amount of duties and responsibilities. Jacqui will be departing the board but will always be a support to our community. We thank Jacqui for her wonderful service and dedication to our school and wish her the very best in her new endeavor!

With that being said, our open board seat has been voted to one of our current parents of Laurel Sarah Piebes! Congratulations Sarah and Welcome!

Our New Board of Trustees Appointments are as follows: Cindy Nuzzolo, President, Jeremy Gingras, Vice President and Alumni Family, Jay Goodwin, Treasurer and Alumni Family, Rev. Canon Charles H. Morris, Secretary, Martha Duffy, Board Member, Melanie Miller, Board Member and Alumni Family, and Sarah Piebes, Board Member and Current Laurel Family. For more information about our Board please check out our “About Us”link on the school website.

We are also excited about the Harvest Night Gala, the school’s largest fundraiser, as it is right around the corner! Please have all donations in by Friday, November 3rd if possible! Thank you for your support and if you haven’t already, you can get your tickets online [Here]
All proceeds benefit the Laurel School Annual Fund and Programming for our students! I look forward to seeing all of you there!

Best,
