CID Ballots "In The Mail"

C-Street's Community Improvement District (CID) was just renewed by City Council for 15 years. The Board has requested a vote that would add 1/8 cent to the 3/8 cent for a 1/2 cent total which is identical to what the Downtown CID collects. Mail-in ballots have been sent to registered voters in the district who have until August 13 to return their ballots. A copy of the ballot can be seen here. It lays out much of what our CID does for C-street with such a tiny amount of every dollar spent Uptown. Reply to this E-blast if you have any questions we can answer.

Historic Guidelines Update

H3 Consulting Group has nearly finished the long overdue update to Historic Commercial Street's Design Guidelines, written in 1982, making them 37 years old. Our local Landmarks Board wrote a grant requesting funds for the update. A work group that represents all interested consulting groups like the Landmarks Board, Commercial Club, our CID, historic bridge groups and others has guided the process. Public input has been requested at every step of the way and incorporated into this terrific document which can be seen by clicking here. Reply to this E-Blast with questions or concerns.

Shout Returns to C-Street

White River • Moon City Pub • Lindberg’s • Q Enoteca • Vecino Group's "Do Good" Lawn • Big Mommas • C-Street City Market will all host music, film or art during this exciting 5-day, multistage, multimedia cultural event. Advance tickets available on Facebook at Queen City Shout or during event.

WATCH THESE SPACES FOR

NEW C-STREET BUSINESSES

Lightbox

The Lightbox

Washington & Commercial will be the new home base for several photographers in this exciting new concept for C-Street. The idea of multiple photographers sharing studio and office space makes so much sense in light of the well-known fact that C-Street is the most photographed area in town. We welcome the photographers and videographers that already prowl the street seeking great locations for shoots. Stay tuned...

Ensley Swann

Ensley & Swann Boutique & Marketplace

You can't miss the activity in this sweet space on the SE corner of Boonville & C-Street. Perfectly curated gifts, fun, fresh and quirky from womens & children's clothing & accessories to vintage-style and home goods, are flowing into this storefront. Formerly "All Good Stuff," Ensley & Swann is going to continue the trend of good stuff for sale in this location. An August opening date is the goal of our new neighbors who can be liked and followed on FB at Ensley & Swann Boutique & Marketplace.

BigBlanket

Hook Creative

Formerly the D Cloud & Company building, Hook Creative will be relocating to these new digs at Robberson and Blaine, on the SE corner. Quick aside: construction on the Elkheart & The Robberson building in the background is also underway again. We are so excited to welcome Hook Creative's energetic group to our district and look forward to meeting this exciting creative team! We also heard the Big Blanket Company may also call the building home in the future. Check them out in advance of their move at www.hookcreative.co (and no, I didn't leave off the "m"!) and at bigblanket.com and again, watch this space!
