"This is the day the Lord has made, and I will rejoice! The weeks seem to be flying by – not sure if they are for you? Before you know it, summer will be here!" "My WORD for this week is “GROW.” I had said in weeks past I planted some seeds and when they get big enough, I will plant them in my garden and in bigger pots to enjoy all summer long. I looked at the one tray I had planted, and a sprout was pushing its way up to the top in spite of a small piece of mulch that had landed on top of it. The mulch was pushed up so the spout could be blessed by the sunshine. God said to me “grow” to share with you all. “Grow” and be blessed by His Son shine. Despite things going on around us “grow.” Push through all the obstacles that try to stunt our “grow” in Him. Push through the sadness and pain that try to keep us in the darkness. Let the Holy Spirit surround us with His presence and “grow” closer to Him. Let us keep watch over others to make sure their “grow” is not stopped. Encourage, exalt, love, show kindness, help, exhort, brighten their day, cheer them on, comfort them. Oh, God’s love and Son shine helps us all “grow” and become all that He wants us to be. Let us not miss out on the great harvest to come! It will be Glorious! Praying we all “grow” closer to Him this week. Shine down on us Jesus!" So let us not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we do not give up or quit. Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith. ~ Galatians 6:9-10 (The Message) | Egg Cartons Needed A local "chicken lady" is in need of egg cartons, so we are getting back into the carton collecting habit. On Monday, we filled a roll-off up with all the scrap metal from out behind the butterfly garden. Next week we will be doing the same with the pile of rubbish that is still back there. Tuesday was a day of weeding and preparing gardens for planting. Snowy Wednesday had us planting and transplanting in the greenhouse, cleaning, and having a relaxing afternoon of coloring and drawing. Today we have been able to get back outside to do more cleanup and take a walk. This afternoon we hope to work on clearing one of our paths in the woods. Ohio weather and the variety of tasks to be done here means each day can be full of surprises! Our other big news this week involves the 2021 CSA Program. We had hoped to fill 12 spots this year and we have already reached that goal! Being able to announce in April that we hit our desired number of shares is very exciting. Knowing the number of subscribers this early makes planning and preparing a bit easier. Big thanks to all our CSA subscribers for being a part of GG this season!
