One fun highlight this summer was attending the HOLT Medallion Award Luncheon in Richmond, VA, where Shine Like the Dawn was announced as the winner of the long inspirational category. Elizabeth Ludwig's novel, A Tempting Taste of Mystery, won the short inspirational category. What a treat to share such a happy event with a special author friend!

Special Family Celebrations

This week Scott and I are celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! It was a cool and rainy day in Portland, Oregon, when we said our vows in Trinity Baptist Church and set off on our journey together. I was happy and excited about the life and love we would share, but I didn't know how much I would come to treasure our relationship. If you're married, treasure your spouse. Work through issues that arise with humility and perseverance. It is so worth it! Happy anniversary, Scott! Here's to many more years together.

More fun family news . . . We have a new granddaughter, Lenna Pax Morrison, born August 28th to our daughter Melissa and her husband Peter. We're also getting ready for the September 28th wedding of our youngest daughter Megan to Walter Davidson. So you can imagine these are exciting and busy days at our house!
