Is There Much To Be Thankful For This Year?

Let me start by saying Happy Thanksgiving! I truly mean it. This is without question going to be a very difficult holiday for tens of millions of Americans. So many states across the country are significantly limiting the number of people who can attend Thanksgiving dinners and gatherings. Governors and Public Health Officials (many of whom have no actual medical background) have decreed that you must “socially distance” from others. YOU SHOULD NOT OBEY. You should not obey unlawful orders! Even in states where there are physical distance requirements, that is not the same as distancing socially. Please, please, please reach out to family members today. Call, Facetime, Zoom, etc. Find a way to check in on loved ones who will without question feel deeply isolated today. Isolation is a deeply painful part of our human experience and any rule, law or requirement that would mandate that isolation is physically, emotionally and spiritually damaging and should not be followed.

It is also difficult this Thanksgiving to be thankful for what is happening in our economy and financial lives. Today, 6 million Americans face imminent eviction as we move toward the end of the year. This difficulty was not created by these Americans but because of mandated economic shutdowns that have forced businesses to close and layoff workers. These mandates have NOT come from scientific evaluation or medical evidence but from fiat orders made on high without common sense or reason. These orders have been made by people who themselves do not follow them. Who live untouched by their own orders but want maximum penalties for you if you do not obey.

Right now, we are facing the largest transfer of wealth between massive corporations and middle class America. More on this in the coming weeks but just for example,

Amazon: profit up 100%
Walmart: profit up 80%
Target: profit up 80%
Lowe's: profit up 74%
Microsoft, Facebook, Apple, Google: stock at record high

Small businesses: 21% closed;
Revenue for rest down 30%.

And in the midst of all of this turmoil, we are watching tech companies control language, block dissent, crush the voice of anyone who is speaking truth or attempting to question the madness around them.

I ask again, Is There Much To Be Thankful For This Year?

I can only speak for myself but I will say, YES.

I am thankful that this time has come during my lifetime. I am thankful that if any generation is forced to fight this fight, it is our generation. One year ago I would never have guessed that this moment would be forced upon us so quickly and with such force. I am thankful that this fight will not only fall upon my children, or their children’s children. Thankful that we, in this moment, have the opportunity to reset our nation, our economy, our technology, our governmental authorities… back toward FREEDOM!

I am not naive. I understand that this fight will likely go on for generations, but the terms of our battle can be set in this one.

I am THANKFUL that tens of millions of Americans and hundreds of millions of people throughout the world are awakening to realities that they once would never have imagined. It is time to fully awaken the sleeping giant of freedom. It is time to stand and be counted. I am thankful to be counted with you.
