GUILD TOP MARCH2023 NEWSLETTERYoutube

Dear Women of Guild,

As we turn the calendar and enter into March, we are reminded that the three leaf clover, symbolic of St. Patrick's day, stands for Faith, Hope and Love. These three virtues are critical in forming the way we live, especially when it comes to nurturing our seeds of faith during Lent. As we prepare for Easter, remember to embrace your faith, continuously hope for God's will and always share your love with others.

And speaking of Love and charity, join us on Tuesday, March 14th to make soup for Souper Heroes, a street-level outreach program serving freshly prepared, nutritious food to the homeless. Scroll down to
register and pick a shift. Grab your apron and get ready to give back to those in need!

Embracing the virtues mentioned above, please join Suzy Hick for the Stations of the Cross as seen through the eyes of our Blessed Mother Mary. There will be two dates to gather: March 14th & April 4th. Please scroll down to learn more about this beautiful and powerful interpretation of the stations. All are welcome.

Looking ahead to April, please join us for our annual Spring Luncheon on Wednesday, April 19th. This year we will welcome Julie Unruh as our guest speaker at the Glen View Club. As a wife, mother of three, former WGN midday news anchor, Emmy award winning general assignment reporter and FHC parishioner, Julie will share her journey of surviving a career in Chicago TV news with the help of plastic pearls and a pen! Scroll down to register today.

Finally, the Guild is looking for women who are looking for something to do! Whether it's a leadership role, sharing your artistic talents or just wanting to help behind the scenes, the board would like to find a spot for you. Please scroll down to learn how you can get involved with the Guild!

Until next month, stay well and God Bless!

We hope you can join us for the Guild's Annual Spring Luncheon with our very own Julie Unruh! A wonderful way to celebrate spring along with new and old friends!

As done in the past, the Spring Luncheon provides an opportunity for attendees to support a charitable organization in the Chicago area. This year, the Guild will collect donations for Kolbe House Jail Ministry. Listed below are specific items requested by Kolbe House. All items will be collected at the luncheon.

Monetary donations for Kolbe House will also be accepted and can be made when registering online, by credit card at the luncheon or by check. A Lenten Evening, February 23, 2023

Over 50 women gathered in the parish center last week to begin their Lenten journey, guided by guest speaker Fr. Thomas Neitzke, S.J.. A light meal was served and special music was provided by Christian Stirling. Thank you to all the ladies who worked hard to make this a special evening.

A Fun Evening with Cocktails & Conversation about Everything Oscars!

For those who attended the February 7th conversation on the Oscars, they came away with a new appreciation for the nomination process as well as interesting insight on this year's nominees! What a fun night and a big thank you to guest speaker Lee Shoquist, film enthusiast and member of the Chicago Film Critics Association along with the team that made this evening possible!
