You will have our never-ending appreciation!!! Why Support Goodness Grows? Goodness Grows, the mission of Common Ground Church Community, helps grow goodness, right here on our property. We work daily with clients in our vocational habilitation program, providing training in a wide array of life skills. Staff and clients keep the church building clean, help set up for special events, and work hard to keep the grounds spiffy. Our clients also volunteer in the community. Every other week, we head to Columbiana's Whispering Pines to visit and work there. We have made blankets for Making Kids Count. We donate to local food pantries. In the fall and spring, area schools use Goodness Grows as a job site, giving their students hands-on job training in gardening, jam making, and more. All proceeds from fundraisers, like Friendsgiving (including the basket raffle and pie sale), go right back into our programs, to keep our mission operating. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, Goodness Grows is always looking for creative and fun ways like this to raise money to fund our programs. | OUTREACH and MISSION OPPORTUNITIES | Youth Group Christmas Project ~ Toy Drive for ACH A gift of toys, games, or activity supplies can make a big difference to children and families spending time in the hospital. Children can learn and find comfort in play while dealing with the big emotions of being in the hospital. Games and toys foster a playful atmosphere, which has the ability to bring smiles to the faces of children and adults alike. Donating a wish list item to our Christmas Toy Drive is one way to bring cheer to a sick child’s day. Akron Children's Hospital is always in need of toys, craft supplies, and other items throughout the year for children from infancy through age 18. Grab a wish list in the Great Room or click HERE to view it online. Drop items off at the donation table anytime through December 15. You can’t imagine the difference your gift can make to a hospitalized child & their family. | Ongoing Outreach/Mission Opportunity Coat & Clothing & More Drive Keep saving all your clothing and outerwear items for next year's giveaway.
